Hunter flips homes and we recently decided to move into each project for a weekend as they’re finished and live like a local. Check out our jaunt as we scoped out the Sliver Lake scene (in Top Shop shirt and vest, Members Only leather leggings, vintage Jazzies & Gram’s vintage Chanel bag).
First Stop: Breakfast at Barbrix. Bottomless Mimosas for $5 to get the day going.
Nothing like a little (or shall we say GIANT) breakfast burger, some cheesy brussels and eggs.
Beautiful walk through the neighborhood.
Stumbled upon this gem. Silver Lake Wine offers hundreds of bottles from all over the world plus a tasting bar to sip on its finest.
Hit up my German Roots at the iconic Red Lion Tavern. Beer & Schnitzel Galore.
We decided brunch at Barbrix and a little German snack wasn’t enough, so we stopped at L&E Oyster Bar to lunch on some delicious casino oysters. Not a fan of oysters? Neither was I until I tried these grilled delicacies sprinkled with a touch of bacon. Top them off with a fine red wine. Mmm.
After a little sunset stretch we hopped to Hyperion Public. A Silver Lake staple to post up at if you’re looking for a place to catch the game and enjoy a cool vibe.
What’ for Dinner?
Although I would have loved to take over this gorgeous kitchen with mason light chandeliers and exposed reclaimed wood, it was off limits, so we ventured back out…
We trusted our instincts and went to Blair’s for a charming, candlelit meal to seal the deal.
Roasted Cauliflower with Shitake Mushrooms, Mac n’ Cheese infused with Truffle Oil and Fontina and a warm Coconut Curry. We like to mix and match.
Lights Out, Good Night.
Kicked our Sunday off with famous coffee from Lamill’s.
Happy endings with french cuisine at Cafe Stella. Baked Eggs never disappoint.
xx, Carly
