southampton story: day 1

I had the privilege of visiting my old friend and mentor, Kelli (of KDHamptons) in Southampton for some quick yet quality bonding time.  We hadn’t seen each other for years so we packed our three days together by visiting the local farms, garden grazing, house hunting, beach bumming, wining, dining, and of course just relaxing at the pool. A dose of day 1 in my footsteps…After catching up in Kelli’s gorgeous garden oasis, we strolled about town and surrounded ourselves with more scents at the go-to Topiare Flower Shop (established over 20 years ago) which had a secret candy haven in the back to cure the early mornin’ sweet tooth. We stopped by iconic Tate’s Bake Shop as well for some fresh croissants and pastries to stock up…the little Southampton store was as deliciously charming as the famed treats themselves (in TopShop romper and Tkees sandals).Obviously I needed to hit the beach ASAP for a quick sink in the sand. I am a west coast girl but there is something about the east coast beaches. Pure bliss.Lunch consisted of home prepared mozzarella, fresh basil, tomatoes, avocado and toasted baguette with delicate truffle oils and vinegars(courtesy of Halsey Farm and Kelli).We completed the day with a fancy dinner out at The American Hotel in Sag Harbor and ended the night with some nightcap cocktails at a local dive (In TopShop crop, Aqua skirt, Kendra Scott earrings, Louis Vuitton bag, Tkees sandals).
