IMG_8443Napa, a place of peace and serenity. Every time I visit I feel like the world slows down, you can take a breather to appreciate the moment and ultimately, relax. We happened to stumble upon Bardessono, a green resort with rooms designed for in-room spa treatments and a restaurant based on all fresh local farm ingredients and wow, was it a wonder.  We nibbled on organic omelets with fontina cheese and sipped some mimosas and rose to get the weekend started while we toured around the gorgeous grounds (in Free People dress, Louis Vuitton bag, Tkees sandals).IMG_8445 IMG_8411 IMG_8412 IMG_8415 IMG_8416 IMG_8449 IMG_8451 IMG_8473 IMG_8463 IMG_8466 IMG_8467 IMG_8469 IMG_8470 IMG_8472We naturally drove by Opus One, that gorgeous building I’m sure you’ve all passed by and wondered about if you’ve visited the area. With its unveiling in 1984, Opus One was identified as America’s first ultra-premium wine with bottles retailing over $50 – unheard of back then. My tasting sure surpassed that standard; rich and smooth- so good you could sit there for hours just to savor each and every sip. I still can’t decide if  I was more fascinated by the delicious tasting or the insane architecture of the building that literally rose out of the earth. IMG_8474 IMG_8490 IMG_8516 IMG_8491 IMG_8492 IMG_8510 IMG_8493 IMG_8501 IMG_8502 IMG_8475 IMG_8483 IMG_8524We ended up at Hall Winery and shared a bottle with friends on this luscious lawn to unwind before the evening. Not a bad day if you ask me!IMG_8525 IMG_8526
