Making my tiny transition into the almost official LA Fall weather by adding a not so subtle scarf and bitty booties to my wardrobe. I’m really into pairing different patterns and textures these days so when I threw on this comfy tunic-dress by Free People, and rescued my vintage blanket scarf from my piles of winter wear the other night, I found a not so matchy match made in heaven. My rule for playing this game is to make sure the patterns are different enough that they don’t clash, but complement one another and you’re in the clear. By the way, this outfit is so LA with it’s missing tights, tall boots and trench coat- but hey, a Cali girl can get in the groove too, and it won’t be long until I slip on those layers with this number to thicken it up for a cooler climate (in Free People Dress, Vintage scarf; similar here and here, Sole Society Booties, Grandmother’s vintage Chanel Bag; similar here, Celine Sunnies; similar here, and Rimmel Lipstick).
