Happy November and hello daylight savings! I don’t know about you but I’m a big Fall Back babe who loves a lotta light in the early am. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy extra long summer days but as a morning person there’s nothing better than rising with the sun at your side, even if it means trading in a few evening hours.

In other news, our apartment flooded over the weekend so instead of letting it damper our day (pun intended), my husband and I rolled with the punches, booked a hotel down the street and embraced a spontaneous stay-cation together. It’s been one of the most fun weekends just going with the flow, enjoying one another’s company and I feel very lucky to be married to someone who I can live life with as it comes through its curve balls and all and make the most of every moment. It’s not going to be pretty conquering the mess of a place at home the next few days, but in the grand scheme of things it’s such a little something that we’re already looking back on with a laugh.
