Best Hotel Bars On The Westside of Los Angeles

 

A good Friday night usually consists of an early stop at a local hotel bar for a drink or two and aside from a few of SoCal’s popular spots, the westside has some hidden gem hotels that I love to drop by. Great service plus a view of the ocean are part of my cocktail criteria and it never hurts to have a good menu of lite bites. If you’re looking for a relaxing evening, my list of best hotel bars is sure to take care of you:

 

Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica

Shutters has one of the nicest lounge/bars in the area. The lobby, known as “Living Room” is comfortable, laid back, relaxing and makes you feel right at home. It’s the perfect place for a first date or a fun get together with friends. With a view of the ocean, heated terrace and regular live entertainment, it just can’t be beat. Plus, their wine list is phenomenal and their cheese plate is delish too.

The Georgian Hotel Santa Monica

This vintage art deco style beauty has entertained the rich and famous since 1933 and is now a classic place to unwind at sunset. The Veranda Lounge offers martinis, mimosas and great people watching and is a perfect place to grab a drink before you head to dinner at Water Grill, Red O, Blue Plate Oysterette, The Ivy at the Shore or one of the many other fabulous restaurants near by.

Casa del Mar, Santa Monica

The Terrazza Lounge gives a feel of the Italian coast with a wrap around ocean view that  anyone would love. I mean, you make it to Terrazza, and any way you look you’re gonna see that pretty Pacific. Casa del Mar’s Catch is their delicious seafood bar where you can nibble on sushi while enjoying your drink and conversing with your friends or date. Nightly entertainment completes the experience, and sometimes they have TVs for you sports peeps.
