Kenihan Development: Cherokee Project

Welcome Home!

My husband is a real estate developer and this Spanish revival is probably my favorite of my his projects. Its bungalow-esque vibe makes you feel right at home with its cozy entry way, open kitchen (perfect for entertaining!), spacious bedrooms, and my favorite, roomy backyard with a pool that’s basically a mini oasis. Located in the heart of Hancock Park, the home is just minutes from some of my fave Hollywood spots including Mozza, Providence and Petit Trois-YUM!

I’m a sucker for Spanish tile and wide open spaces, so it’s no surprise I’m obsessed with this kitchen. My other favorite part of the house are the bathroom star lights – so fun! this is the first time my hubs has added a pool to one of his rehabs, so it was really neat to see it come together. If you live in LA, you know how hot the Hollywood area can get, so the beautiful blue is a huge bonus and the perfect place to cool down. The Cherokee project is 1400 square feet and you can find more information about Kenihan Development including recent completed houses (plus apartments in the works!) here.

In other news, it’s officially September! It’s still pretty warm where I live but I’m trying to ease my way into cozy Fall clothes. This Equipment Cashmere Sweater Dress is so comfortable. It’s a little on the pricey side but the cashmere makes it worth it in my Book- one of those pieces I know I’ll wear over and over again as it’s perfect for lounging around the house with socks (or barefoot in my case!), but can also be styled with loafers, booties or even pumps.
