Hello! If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been super into body-con dresses during my pregnancy, which is the complete opposite of the loose and flowy clothing I wore (and will wear) in my pre and post pregnant life! It’s so easy to find non maternity pieces when they’re stretchy and fitted, and helps me embrace my bump and the extra curves that come with it. Cotton-On has some fabulous affordable basics that are great to wear once or a handful of times (I’m talking, $10-$50 styles) so it’s been a good go-to for maternity staples and you all know I love Michael Stars core pieces! I also love James Perse and Leith, and layered this particular green dress with my old Joie leather jacket. There’s something about worn leather that makes it so soft and comfy (needless to say its unavail now but you can shop a similar one here, and more affordable faux leather by BLANKNYC here). Totally into my black Ray Ban aviators these days, and can’t forget my “pregnancy flats!” They’re by Valentino and in case you didn’t see on my Instagram, my mom and I justified these investment shoes that she gave me at Christmas as the perfect comfy maternity slippers (we’ll see how I really feel in a few months). I linked a few more affordable ballet styles here and here, and you can shop a denim bag by Rebecca Minkoff similar to my Chanel bag here. Lastly, my choker is by Fallon. I never wear chokers, but I love this one because it’s the perfect combination of edgy and sweet with the metal detail and leather bow (similar here and here). You can shop my outfit below, along with my other go-to maternity staples that I’ll be including often in my posts going forward! It took me awhile to discover my favorite maternity (& non-maternity!) clothes at the beginning of my pregnancy so hopefully you mamas to be will find this helpful!
