We’re so excited we’re adding one of each to our little family and have already had so much fun shopping and prepping for them! If you read my BUMPdate, you know we told some family and friends we were pregnant, but told no one except our parents we were expecting 2 until 3 months in at our gender reveal party. We wanted to make sure they were both sticking around and growing healthily and thought it would be a trip to surprise everyone with the twin news! It was actually pretty hard to keep them a secret-lots of close friends/family asked how many embryos we transfered since they knew we put in 2 the first time, and others asked if we were expecting a boy or a girl;) When they asked how my pregnancy was going in general, there were sooo many times I almost said, “the babies are doing fine” or “they’re doing great.” Somehow I didn’t let it slip (at least I don’t think I did?)! Anyhoo, we opened up a big box of balloons to share our announcement and instead of just pink or blue balloons…both came out! I think most people were confused at first but then they got the jist and the room was filled with so much joy and love. It was one of the best nights yet…and more than a gender reveal but a celebration of our two little miracle buns which was incredibly special.
You can watch a short video clip here & below (don’t mind the bball in the background!). I wish I had the reactions of people’s faces recorded but I think that’s just one of those things that’s supposed to remain in my memory <3
Congratulations! Looks like you had a great party.
OMG! Yay!!!! I’m so excited for you and your beautiful family!
