YOU GO WITH IT!
the true story behind these photos…
they were not planned! the plan was to shoot this gorgeous, flowy, maxi skirt with a crochet blouse outside in the fields, with my bundle of flowers in hand and my basket of berries in tow.
just kidding.
but really, I was going to shoot the look near the beach with a blouse and some proper shoes. until this little lady woke up!
my sitter was there, so in between changes she brought zoe babe to me and I decided to just put a headband on her and call it a day. cuz what’s cuter than a baby in a diaper. and a headband? a baby in a diaper and a headband with a flower on it.
I didn’t put my shoes on. I didn’t go outside. I just tied the tee I slept in up in a knot and decided to lean into the chaos. lean into my life! my life of sometimes cute skirts but always cute babies!! and rarely any shoes.
so they’re you have it! that’s the story, and I’m sticking to it! Zoe was refreshed from her nap so she got totally into the shoot. It was adorable! she was smiling all over the place and just staring. I feel like she felt extra special. that she could tell she was apart of mommy’s work. and that she had a pretty flower in her hair. it was just really fun. such a good one on one bonding moment with her!
The flower headband is Baby Bling and my skirt is by Sundress. I LOVE IT! It’s soooo comfortable and now that I am inspired by my own photoshoot here, I think I will only wear it with tees! It’s a really good spring and summer mama-form for the days I want to turn it up a notch! I can obviously dress it up with a fancy blouse, tank or even leather jacket, but let’s be real. that won’t happen on the reg.
