Groundworks Coffee Shop
Current fave fo sho. Groundworks is charming and beautifully decorated and offers an outstanding ambiance with locations from Santa Monica and Venice to Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles. Whether you’re going for a dressed up latte or fresh brewed cup of their organic coffee, you’ll be satisfied. I typically get a large iced coffee or almond latte every morning – totally gets me going for the day. Aside from ‘jo, some locations offer a menu with organic egg filled items and fruit parfaits. I love the Santa Monica satellite location, but Venice is great to check emails at with its complimentary Wi-Fi. It’s a perfect place for a perk up.

Urth Caffe
Urth Caffe is nothin’ but warm and welcoming with an A+ ambiance in West Hollywood (on Melrose!), Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and DTLA . The spot brings a wide variety of organic coffees and fine teas that you can enjoy in either their inside dining area or outside patio soaking up the rays and their green tea latte is a must-try. But wait, on Mondays, coffee is 50% off till 11 (ya don’t need to twist my arm)! Aside from the bevs, Urth has a plethora of sandwich and pizza options on their menu, as well as delicious salads and amazing (I mean, a-MAY-zing) bread pudding. Ask them to heat it up with some steamed milk and you’ll enter a dessert dream (it works for breakfast too)! Urth’s a casual spot for a quick pick me up, and open late in case you want to get your mid night snack on.

Gjusta
Such a fun spot. Walk in, grab a ticket, they call your number and you call your coffee. You can also munch on some of their daily specials including seasonal pizzas and salads. If you have a second, stay for a while and order their delicious bruschetta or oven roasted turkey breast sandwich (hello Thanksgiving in the summer)! I love their almond lattes but you really can’t go wrong with any order. Sit at the little bar or picturesque patio with a friend and your day has just gotten off to the right start.

Dogtown Coffee
A literal hole in the wall down the street from me (hence the no website sich but you can check out their yelp here)! It’s such a good go-to for a quick iced coffee and an acai bowl. They also make some delicious egg dishes and an array of lunch options. With it’s surfer-esque decor and always exciting music (changes daily from the Stones to Rihanna and everything in between), it never fails or disappoints. One of those places I call home.

Kings Road Cafe
Great spot for coffee in WeHo and even better spot for people watching. Their decadent vanilla lattes are brag-worthy and their straight up black coffee will make you feel like you’re on somethin’ else. Breakfast is offered all day along with lunch and dinner, and if you make it till the evening, their elegant beer-centric wine bar is fun to enjoy. The spot is super casual and the perfect place to meet some friends and kick it.
